The term “luxury treatment” refers to a form of addiction treatment that includes high-end rehab facilities and amenities. However, it does not inherently indicate superior clinical care quality.

We recommend bringing comfortable clothing and shoes for various activities and therapy sessions. You may also want to pack personal toiletries, any necessary medications (in the original packaging), insurance information, and identification. We also encourage you to bring any items that may aid in your recovery journey, such as journals or books. Our admissions team will provide you with a full list of items to bring and what not to bring when you schedule your intake appointment.

The policy on bringing cell phones to rehab varies from facility to facility. At our center, we understand the significance of staying connected with your loved ones during your recovery journey. However, to ensure that all clients have the most conducive environment for healing and personal growth, we implement a structured phone use policy. During the initial phase of treatment, clients are encouraged to focus entirely on their recovery process without the distractions that come with constant connectivity. Therefore, cell phone access is restricted during our inpatient programs.

As you progress through treatment and reach certain milestones in your recovery, you will regain privileges including cell phone use. This is to ensure that clients have the necessary tools and skills to maintain a healthy balance between staying connected and prioritizing their recovery.

If you or a loved one is struggling with substance abuse, you might qualify for FMLA leave for rehab treatment. The Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) lets eligible employees take job-protected leave for specific family and medical reasons, offering a chance to recover without risking their job.

Our Orange County rehab programs are designed to treat a variety of substance use disorders that involve prescription medications, recreational drugs, and illicit substances. This includes (but is not limited to) alcohol, opioids, stimulants, and benzodiazepines.

South Coast Behavioral Health’s inpatient rehab facilities do not allow pets. This decision was made with the safety and well-being of our clients in mind. While we understand that pets can provide comfort and emotional support, our top priority is to maintain a controlled healing environment throughout the treatment process. Our medical staff is trained to provide the necessary care and support needed during this time, so you can focus on your recovery.

We understand that having a supportive partner can greatly aid in the recovery process. However, couples participating in the same rehab program may inadvertently distract each other from their personal paths to recovery.

To provide the best possible care for each client and limit distractions, we offer gender-specific inpatient programs for men and women. Following inpatient treatment, we encourage loved ones to participate in couples therapy to promote healthy communication and establish boundaries in early recovery.

Family involvement is crucial in the recovery process, which is why we offer family integration services during our partial hospitalization program and intensive outpatient program. These programs allow for more flexibility and support, as well as the opportunity for loved ones to actively participate in the client’s treatment journey.

As clients transition through PHP and IOP, they are welcome to invite family members to attend therapy sessions. Family therapy allows for open communication, healing of relationships, and a better understanding of the client’s struggles.

Depending on the severity of your addiction and the type of substance used, detox may be necessary before beginning our residential treatment program.

While the length of treatment may vary for each individual, we recommend completing the entirety of our substance abuse programs. This allows for ample time to address underlying issues, develop coping mechanisms, and establish a strong foundation for long-term recovery.

Treatment length by level of care:

Detox programs last for about 3-7 days, but may be longer depending on the severity of the addiction and the type of substance being used. After detox, clients typically continue treatment in our residential program.

In general, our residential treatment programs last between 30 to 90 days, with the option for extended care if needed. During this time, clients can expect to participate in therapy and counseling sessions regularly, as well as attend support group meetings.

Following detox and residential treatment, clients can transition into our partial hospitalization program (PHP). During PHP, clients participate in treatment sessions for 6 to 8 hours per day, 7 days a week. Partial hospitalization typically extends over the course of several weeks to help clients maintain their recovery and learn coping skills as they begin to reintegrate into society.

After PHP, clients can then enter our intensive outpatient program (IOP), where they will meet for three hours a day, three days a week. Also lasting several weeks, IOP is designed for those who need additional support while transitioning back into their daily lives. Both PHP and IOP allow clients to continue living at home while participating in routine therapy and counseling sessions. However, IOP provides more flexibility for those who may have work or school commitments during the day.

Yes, we offer  medication-assisted treatment (MAT) as an option for certain individuals who may benefit from it. MAT involves the use of FDA-approved medications to lessen symptoms associated with withdrawal, making it easier for individuals to focus on their recovery. These medications may include methadone, buprenorphine, or naltrexone, and are provided in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies. To ensure our client’s safety and success, our clinicians tailor each individual’s treatment plan to meet their specific needs and goals in recovery.

Yes, our clinicians are trained to provide dual diagnosis treatment, which involves treating both the addiction and any underlying mental health issues. In doing so, our rehab programs address and treat any mental health concerns that may be contributing to substance abuse.
