Director of Nursing

Abdull B. Khan joined South Coast Behavioral Health in 2014. As our Director of Nursing, Abdull works to strengthen all operational and medical services for inpatient and outpatient levels of care. This includes responsibilities like the nursing staff’s professional development, increasing client engagement, coordinating patient care, and managing the nursing department to ensure each client receives the utmost care and guidance.

Abdull is a licensed vocational nurse (LVN) and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and a registered nurse certification (RN). In the past, he has served in a variety of roles such as psych nurse, detox house manager, healthcare manager, and treatment authorization specialist.

What Abdull Khan likes most about his work is the opportunity to be part of a team with a common goal of helping individuals find their identity and witness and be a part of it. He sees this work as fulfilling and humbling. Abdull enjoys spending time with his son and family, playing cricket, trying new recipes, volunteering in his community, watching documentaries, and furthering his knowledge of various subjects.

South Coast Behavioral Health was a great experience. I’m sad to go, but thankful for all the growth and tools they gave me to continue my life down the correct path. Big thanks to Emily, April, Jojo, Courtney & Dawna from my detox and residential experience. Thank you to Michelle for being the greatest therapist I’ve ever had. Thank you to my case managers Brian and Richard! You truly showed me I was cared for. I will miss my house managers the most; Rae, Bobby & Tabby make me feel like I was home. I will never forget my experience here. Amazing facilitators, especially Sunday, Bryce, John, Joey, Bethany & Casey. Highly recommend ❤️
